The Catchment Pond.

Every one or two years the catchment pond at the north end of the lake is dredged to remove silt which would otherwise wash into the lake. This work is performed with a long reach back-hoe.

The ponds have been mapped to establish their depth. after dredging.

 

In the spring of 2018 we had 4 inches of rain in 24 hr. This large in flow eroded parts of the catchment ponds. Damage to the catchment pond banks required repair.
